There’s an evening of absolute nonsense in the offing, with the first ever Fairly Substantial Quiz – live from the famous Phoenix Arts Club! Hosted by Tom Davies, who once presided over a crisp-eating competition on Britain’s most popular radio news programme, this isn’t just a pub quiz. It’s an extravaganza of general knowledge, daft challenges and all-round silliness – live on stage in sound and vision. As soon as you walk in through the door absolutely anything could be a question, so make sure you’ve got your wits about you. Points can be won – and lost – from absolutely anywhere. Hilarity will ensue, there are incredible prizes to be won, and a Substantial Jackpot on offer for the winner of this month’s final challenge. £6 per person. Doors 6pm. Quiz 7.30pm
